The Brady Bunch along with David Camera Hogg are trying to flex their so-called muscle in the state of Commiefornia.
Parkland gun control activists from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gathered in La Jolla, California, to push for more gun control laws.
The attack on Stoneman Douglas attack was carried out on February 14, 2018, by a man who bought his firearm by passing a background check then used the gun to kill 17 in a gun-free zone.
Since that attack all manner of gun controls have been proposed, with the two most common being universal background checks and red flag laws. Universal background checks are a non-starter, as background checks were already in place and the gunman passed one to acquire this weapon. And red flag laws have not caught on because such laws either go too far and violate due process rights or fail to deliver safety because they hinge on a parent or loved one seeing and vocalizing a problem with someone in their own family.
For example, California has red flag laws but on September 21, 2018, Breitbart News reported that they are rarely used.
In addition to such laws, California also has an “assault weapons” ban, a 10-day waiting period for gun purchases, a requirement that would-be gun buyers first secure a firearm safety certificate from the state, a limit of one handgun purchase a month. a ban on campus carry, and ammunition controls that mandate where Californians can purchase bullets.
Yet on September 20, 2018, Stoneman Douglas gun control activists were in La Jolla. NBC 4 reports that they held a meeting at a “private home” and discussed gun control and mental health issues.
The student gun control activists were joined by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, a group which constantly strives to restrict the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
