H/T Bearing Arms.
How long before this doctor gets taking to the woodshed?
You may have heard doctors, nurses, and researchers proclaim that there’s an epidemic of gun violence in this country, and the only solution is to treat the crisis as a public health threat. In fact today the American Public Health Association had a big event at Washington, D.C.’s Newseum on “Policies That Work To Reduce Gun Violence” (all of which happen to be gun control policies, naturally).
Dr. Miguel Faria, MD has a new book coming out called “America, Guns, and Freedom: A Journey Into Politics and the Public Health & Gun Control Movement”, and he joined me on today’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co. to talk about why it’s a really bad idea to treat “gun violence”, whether violent crime or suicide, as a public health problem.
Also on today’s program, we’ve got the story of a Massachusetts man charged with murder who was supposed be behind bars without bail because of his “dangerousness”, an armed citizen who came to the aid of a Texas woman who was robbed at a travel stop, and an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer in the right place at the right time, who was willing and able to come to the aid of a child in need.
As always, you can find the show as a podcast at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Townhall.com. Thanks for watching, listening, and spreading the word!
