Socialist Warren Defends Massive Spending, Literally Says ‘There’s Always Money’

H/T Western Journal.

DemocRats alway think raising taxes are the answer to getting more money for their spending schemes.

On a recent “Saturday Night Live” cold open, the network couldn’t help but make fun of Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s penchant for wanting to spend your money and then not explaining where it’s going to come from.

The skit featured a voter asking Warren about her “Medicare for All” plan: “You said your plan would cost $20.5 trillion, but other economists have said it could cost $34 trillion,” the woman told Warren.

“Right, right,” Kate McKinnon-as-Warren responded. “Let me stop you right there. We’re talking trillions. You know, when the numbers are this big, they’re just pretend. There ain’t no Scrooge McDuck vault. You ready to get red-pilled? Money doesn’t exist. It’s just a promise from a computer!”

This is pretty funny until you realize how problematically close this is to the Massachusetts senator’s actual campaign trail rhetoric.

In a November interview that’s just now getting some play, the president of the National Education Association asked Warren whether she would pledge more money for Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act.

“If the answer is yes, how do you pay for that?” Lily Eskelsen Garcia asked Warren.

“So the answer is yes,” Warren said.

“And pay for it? This is about our priorities, what matters most to us. A budget is about priorities.”

Which is true. Except when, of course, you don’t have to really set priorities.

“The way I see it, there’s always, c’mon, there’s always money,” Warren said.

“It’s there. Are we going to spend the money on defense or are we going to spend the money on our children?”

Oh, come on. Why didn’t she just take out one of those bumper stickers that say “It will be a great day when our schools have all the money they need, and our Air Force has to have a bake sale to buy a bomber” bumper stickers and wave it around?

I wish her the best of luck enacting that policy when she becomes president and realizes the defense and security challenges that the United States faces. On the other hand, if she ever becomes president, I should probably be wishing us the best of luck; we’ll need it.

In terms of the idea that “there’s always money” — no, there’s not. I know in the wacky world of Modern Monetary Theory, where a government can pay off all of its debts by printing money without triggering hyperinflation or its attendant issues, this makes sense. In the real world, where MMT will end up being a disaster if it’s ever actually implemented, this is pretty much dead on arrival.

Similarly DOA is Warren’s wealth tax, an overly optimistic plan in which everything we want can be paid for by a tax on the wealth (a not-entirely-constitutional tax, it must be noted) of multimillionaires and billionaires

This can’t even raise anywhere near what she would need for her “Medicare for All” plan. How are we supposed to expect that it’ll also free up money for whatever we need?

Cutting defense isn’t the answer, not in the current geopolitical climate and not with the military rot we saw during the Obama years.

It still can’t be cut to the level where we can pay for everything that Warren wants. I doubt she wants to touch Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid. Where does that leave us?

The answer is pretty straightforward: When Elizabeth Warren says, “c’mon, there’s always money,” what she means is, “c’mon, there’s always your money.” And she plans to use that money to buy herself the election.

3 Of The “Fraud Squad”, Members Are Under Federal Investigation

H/T Right Wing Tribune.

The squad has become swamp monsters in no time.

Will anything become of this investigation as Delusional DemocRats run the House?

In Less Than A Year, 3/4 Of The ‘Squad’ Is Under Financial Investigation

Andrew Kerr at the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF)

  • The three most prolific members of the “squad” of freshman representatives are the subjects of multiple Federal Election Commission complaints and ethics probes.
  • The congresswomen have been accused of violating campaign finance laws for their personal or political benefit.
  • Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have promised to bring about a more equitable and just world.

The three most prolific members of the so-called “squad” of freshman Democratic congresswoman face allegations of violating campaign finance laws and House ethics rules for their personal or political benefit 10 months into their terms.

Below are the Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaints and House ethics inquiries that have been filed against Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan since they took Washington, D.C., by storm in January with the promise of bringing about a more equitable and just world.

Ocasio-Cortez Could Face ‘Jail Time’ Over Unreported Affiliation With Outside PAC

Ocasio-Cortez’s political rise in 2018 was made possible in large part to Justice Democrats PAC, an outside political action committee that recruited her to enter politics in 2017 and provided much of her campaign’s staffing and overhead needs in the lead-up to her June 2018 primary victory over former Rep. Joe Crowley.

Ocasio-Cortez’s relationship with Justice Democrats became the subject of intense scrutiny in 2019, resulting in two complaints submitted to the FEC.

One complaint, submitted in April, centered on Ocasio-Cortez’s control over Justice Democrats while the PAC was simultaneously supporting her primary campaign.

Ocasio-Cortez and her former campaign chair Saikat Chakrabarti were appointed to hold two of the PAC’s three board seats in December 2017, but the Federal Election Commission was never notified of the affiliation between her campaign and Justice Democrats.

Multiple former FEC commissioners told the Daily Caller News Foundation that Ocasio-Cortez could face civil or criminal penalties for failing to disclose her campaign’s affiliation to the outside PAC.

“At minimum, there’s a lot of smoke there, and if there are really only three board members and she and [Chakrabarti] are two of them, sure looks like you can see the blaze,” said former FEC Chairman Brad Smith.

“If this were determined to be knowing and willful, they could be facing jail time,” Smith said. “Even if it’s not knowing and willful, it would be a clear civil violation of the act. … I think they’ve got some real issues here.”

Former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky added: “If the facts as alleged are true, and a candidate had control over a PAC that was working to get that candidate elected, then that candidate is potentially in very big trouble and may have engaged in multiple violations of federal campaign finance law, including receiving excessive contributions.”

Another complaint, submitted in March, alleged that Chakrabarti, who served as Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff until August, was running a slush fund during the 2018 midterms by diverting $1 million from Justice Democrats PAC to an LLC under his control.

“It appears Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her associates ran an off-the-books operation to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars, thus violating the foundation of all campaign finance laws: transparency,” said National Legal and Policy Center Director Tom Anderson, who filed the complaint.

The FEC is currently investigating the complaints filed against Ocasio-Cortez and Justice Democrats. Ocasio-Cortez confirmed in August that she’s been in conversation with the FEC, saying that she was “in total compliance” and dismissing the complaints as “a form of legal trolling” from “fringe, Republican groups.”

Ilhan Omar Diverts Campaign Funds To Alleged Boyfriend

Omar’s alleged abuse of campaign funds began long before her congressional campaign in 2018.

Minnesota’s Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ordered Omar in June to repay her state campaign $3,500 it had improperly spent for non-campaign purposes in 2016 and 2017 during her tenure as a state legislator. Omar was also required to pay a $500 civil penalty for using campaign funds to travel to a non-campaign related conference in Florida.

Reports surfaced in August that Omar was having an affair with married Democratic consultant Tim Mynett, according to a divorce filing by his wife, Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett.

FEC records revealed that Omar’s campaign had disbursed tens of thousands of dollars in “travel expenses” to Tim Mynett’s company, E. Street Group, LLC.

Omar’s campaign began making travel payments to Tim Mynett’s company on April 1, about a week before his wife alleged in her divorce filing that he admitted to having an affair with the congresswoman.

Tim Mynett has been pictured traveling with Omar across the country in recent months. In one picture, obtained by the Daily Mail, the two were holding hands.

Tim Mynett’s “more recent travel and long work hours now appear to be more related to his affair with Rep. Omar than with his actual work commitments,” Beth Mynett said in her divorce filing.

Omar’s campaign payments to Tim Mynett’s firm prompted the National Legal and Policy Center to file an FEC complaint against Omar’s campaign alleging that she was using campaign funds to pursue a romantic affair.

Anderson, of the National Legal and Policy Center, told the DCNF: “We believe Representative Ilhan Omar may have touched the third rail of campaign finance law: disbursing campaign funds for personal use. It’s a brazen act Representative Omar was caught doing before in Minnesota and all of the evidence we’ve seen tells us she’s probably doing it again.”

Omar’s attorneys dismissed the National Legal and Policy Center’s FEC complaint and called it a baseless “political ploy.”

The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch also submitted a letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics in September asking for an investigation into Omar’s campaign payments to Tim Mynett’s company.

Omar ramped up her campaign spending to Tim Mynett’s firm in the third quarter of 2019, according to an FEC filing in October. About 30% of Omar’s campaign spending from July through September went to his firm. In total, Omar’s campaign has disbursed $370,000 to Tim Mynett’s firm.

House Ethics Panel Recommends Subpoena Over Rashida Tlaib’s Campaign Payments

The five members of the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) board voted unanimously in November to recommend the House Ethics Committee continue its investigation into whether Tlaib improperly diverted campaign funds for her personal use.

House rules allow candidates to receive a salary from their campaign up to what they earned the year prior to their campaign; however, they’re only allowed to receive such payments until the date of their election.

Tlaib had received over $17,500 from her campaign after her election victory in November 2018 in an apparent violation of House rules.

“If Rep. Tlaib converted campaign funds from Rashida Tlaib for Congress to personal use, or if Rep. Tlaib’s campaign committee expended funds that were not attributable to bona fide campaign or political purposes, then Rep. Tlaib may have violated House rules, standards of conduct, and federal law,” OCE said.

OCE said Tlaib and her staffers refused interviews to discuss the suspect salary payments.

Tlaib has denied wrongdoing and said in a statement she “received the minimum salary payments necessary for me to meet my personal financial obligations.”

Trey Gowdy Rips into ‘Deeply Partisan’ Adam Schiff: ‘Leaking Like a Sieve’

H/T Western Journal.

Representative Pencil Neck Adam Schiff(Delusional-CA) is a partisan hack that has not one scrap of evidence President Trump has committed any crimes.

Former South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy joined the Fox News program “America’s Newsroom” on Friday to weigh in on the intelligence whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump.

Gowdy, former chairman of the House Oversight Committee, offered an explanation as to why people might be hesitant to share sensitive information with certain members of Congress — namely, California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff.

“I warned people weeks ago that if Adam Schiff continued to be the chairperson of the House Intelligence Committee, who’s one of the most deeply partisan members of the House, eventually people would stop sharing information with the Intelligence Committee, and apparently that’s what’s happened,” Gowdy said.

“If [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi wants this information given to Congress, she should pick a less-partisan person to be the chairperson of that committee,” he said.

The information to which Gowdy is referring is the contents of a whistleblower complaint within the intelligence community.

The complaint was filed through the proper channels when an administration employee seemed to believe that Trump made a troubling “promise” to an unnamed world leader.

Although the president does have broad authority when it comes to declassifying information, the employee felt it was necessary to lodge the accusation.

Trump has vehemently denied doing anything wrong.

The complaint currently rests with the inspector general of the intelligence community, Michael Atkinson, who is refusing to disclose the contents to Schiff and, by extension, Congress.

Schiff has not taken this well and has vowed to investigate the complaint come “hell or high water,” according to CNN.

“This involves something more sinister, something involving a serious or flagrant abuse or violation of law or misappropriation, and the IG underscored the seriousness of this, and also that this need to be looked into,” the congressman said.

Gowdy continued to outline exactly why the Democrat is dealing with such resistance.

“When you put someone who is wrong as often as Adam Schiff is wrong, and is as deeply partisan as he is, in charge of the Intelligence Committee, then no, you’re not going to share confidential information because Adam leaks like a sieve,” he said.

Gowdy later declined to opine on the facts of the case while urging Americans to show similar restraint and calling out selective outrage.

“I think we got to get to the point in our political culture where we don’t speculate. There’s a transcript, we don’t have to wonder what was said,” he said. “I think what does frustrate people is I seem to recall a president who said, ‘I’ll have more flexibility in my second term.’

“We don’t have to wonder about that, that’s on tape. I don’t think there was a similar level of outrage when President [Barack] Obama promised that to the Russian president as there is now, and we don’t have any idea what President Trump said.”

Jackson Lee’s AR-15 Ignorance is More Democrat Political Malpractice

H/T AmmoLand.

We all get a chuckle or two any time Shelia Jackson Lee(Delusional-TX)opens her mouth.

Like her saying, Neil Armstrong planted the flag on Mars the Constitution is 400 years old.

Now saying how heavy the AR-15 and saying it uses a .50 caliber round.

Here is a thought that should scare you to your very soul is the ignorance level of the people that elected and reelects Shelia Jackson Lee(Delusional-TX).

Gungrabby Gabby Giffords and her handlers know they can rely on the stunning incompetence of Sheila Jackson Lee and her useful idiot constituents to help them out with any citizen disarmament edict they need to be pushed. (Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee / Facebook photo)

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “I’ve held an AR-15 in my hand, I wish I hadn’t,” Texas Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee claims to an approving media while trying to get House members to “flood” the Senate and demand new citizen disarmament edicts. “It is as heavy as 10 boxes that you might be moving and the bullet that is utilized, a .50 caliber, these kinds of bullets, need to be licensed and do not need to be on the street.”

Coming in at just over six-and-a-half pounds with a full magazine of .223 rounds, one wonders if those are boxes of chocolate Lee is referring to. Her similarities to “Forrest Gump” don’t end there, as you never know what you’re going to get every time she opens her mouth. To paraphrase a quote from another popular movie, “Tropic Thunder,” she went full Jackson Lee.  Everybody knows you don’t go full Jackson Lee.

Not that anything stops her from doing just that, and repeatedly. As long as we’re mentioning movies, we can’t forget “Idiocracy,” and note we’re talking about a lawmaker who has treated us to such gems as:

  • The Constitution is 400 years old.
  • Astronaut Neil Armstrong planted the flag on Mars.
  • There are still two Vietnams.
  • Klansmen are now the Tea Party.

There’s more, but you get the picture. To her credit, at least Jackson Lee hasn’t publicly speculated about Guam tipping over.

But since Jackson Lee has now turned her vast subject matter expertise to guns, it would be remiss not to recall she’s not the only ignoramus politician. It wasn’t all that long ago we saw New York Democrat Rep. Carolyn McCarthy challenged by Tucker Carlson of Fox News to explain what a “barrel shroud” was, as that was a  feature her so-called “assault weapon” bill would ban. After much deflection and trying to avoid answering the question, she was finally cornered into admitting she had no idea:

“I believe it’s the shoulder thing that goes up.”

And then we had New York Democrat Assemblywoman Patricia Eddington, who had this to say about the .50 caliber rounds Jackson Lee “thinks” you load AR-15s with:

“But some of these bullets as you saw have an incendiary device on the tip of it, which is a heat-seeking device, so you don’t shoot deer with a bullet that size. If you do, you could cook it at the same time.”

This was at a press conference, yet not one member of the media called BS and exposed Eddington for the know-nothing that she was. That’s because they don’t know themselves and aren’t held to account for getting it right on guns. Face it, gun bans are what they and their employers are all rooting for. Besides, it’s not like the audiences/readership are informed enough to call them on it. If they were, they’d be getting very different poll results when they ask about support for background checks, red flags, and bans. They can’t allow that.

And thus we have an “informed” Twitter poster who goes by the handle TexasMomsforBeto! (which ought to tell you something in itself), who has no doubt formed her “deep” convictions based on what she’s “learned” from politicians, gun-grab groups and media cheerleaders:

“Here is the thing… I don’t think you could even eat the meat of an animal killed with a semi automatic weapon. It would be so full of shrapnel.”

Yeah, but at least it would be cooked!

“Oh god poor animal,” an equally informed sympathizer agrees.

It’s bad enough that these people cast votes that cancel out ours, allowing politicians like Jackson Lee and their string-pullers to advance more edicts. That they do is nothing short of citizenship malpractice.

Worse is the political malpractice committed by arrogant, oath-breaking officeholders. Whether they’re genuine mental defectives, deliberate subversives or both, they’re enabled and empowered by useful idiot constituents.

And the interests of those who would rule (and the media they control) are to keep ‘em dumb…

O’Rourke: El Paso Shooting Came ‘At the Invitation of Our President’

H/T The Washington Free Beacon.

Robert Francis O’Rourke(delusional-TX) starts his day with a giant and heaping bowl of dumbass flakes.

Calls for gun registry, licenses for every firearm, and a ‘buyback’.

Beto O’Rourke (D.) accused President Donald Trump of inviting mass shootings during an appearance Saturday at the New Hampshire Democratic Party State Convention.

The former Texas congressman said the El Paso shooter, who killed 22 people, was a product of America’s racist culture and Trump’s racist rhetoric.

“This person drove 600 miles with that hatred, really at the invitation of our president, and opened fire with that AK-47 on innocent people in a Walmart, killing 22 of them and grievously wounding many dozens more,” O’Rourke said.

He proceeded to demand an aggressive gun-control agenda. Listing the items of that agenda, he said the political difficulty of legislating it all would not deter him.

“A gun registry in this country, licensing for every American who owns a firearm, and every single one of those AR-15s and AK-47s will be bought back so they are not in our streets, not in our homes, do not take the lives of our fellow Americans,” he said to loud applause. “And we are going to do that together.”

Assuming the position of a much-publicized New York Times series, O’Rourke stated the country’s founding was not in 1776 but in 1619, when the first African slave was brought to North America. This was the root of the gun violence problem, he argued.

“This is a country that has been defined by foundational, systemic, endemic racism, since the very founding of this country, August 20 of 1619, the first time that a kidnapped African was brought here against his will and made to serve as a slave to build the greatness and success and the wealth of this country, which his descendants would never be able to fully participate in,” O’Rourke said.

“This is the reality of United States of America,” O’Rourke continued.

He went on to argue it was only a matter of time before Trump, who has “no honor, no morals, and no ethics,” would bring about such an attack with his rhetoric.

“Sooner or later it was going to find us. It wasn’t a matter of if, it was a matter of when,” he said.

O’Rourke continued to praise progressive social movements that he said reflect the aspiration of some in America to right historical wrongs.

“This is a country that has produced Moms Demand, this is a country that has produced March for Our Lives, this is a country that has produced the leadership that will ensure that we not only have universal background checks and red flag laws and end the sale of those weapons of war, but that we go the necessary steps further, as politically difficult as those may be,” O’Rourke said.

Boom: Dana Loesch Unloads On Chicago Mayor For Failed Policies That Benefit Prohibited Gun Possessors

H/T Town Hall.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot(Delusional-Chicago)like all Delusional DemocRats can not accept their policies on guns do not and will not work.

It’s no secret that Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws on the books. Sadly, the Windy City is also one of the most violent hotbeds in the nation. During Labor Day weekend, 25 people were shot. Seven died from their injuries. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) used the example to show, once again, why disarmed law-abiding Americans is a bad idea.

And it doesn’t help when repeat offenders are slapped on the wrist with reduced charges. If anything, this sends a message to criminals. It tells them that it’s okay to commit crimes, especially if it involves a firearm, because they’ll get a reduced sentence.

Let’s be clear: Lightfoot is ashamed of the violence in Chicago. If her city’s gun control policies were truly working, then Democrats would repeatedly point to Chicago as an example of why “common sense gun laws” are needed across the nation. But they don’t. In fact, any time a law-abiding gun owner mentions the violence in Chicago, it’s like we’re supposed to omit Chicago from the discussion. It’s like we’re supposed to completely ignore the continual issues the city has.

Adam Schiff Takes A Giant Step Away From Impeachment

H/T The Lid.

While Pencil Neck Adam Schiff(Delusional-CA)maybe be backing down on impeachment but his Comrade Jerry Nadler(Delusional-NY)is going balls to the wall on impeachment.

I can not help but laugh when I hear Pencil Neck Adam Schiff(Delusional-CA)referred to as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee as we all know Congress and the term intelligence is an oxymoron.

Adam Schiff has always been one of the lead liars pushing the fake Russian scandal. From the very beginning, the bug-eyed barrister from Burbank claimed to have proof that President Trump colluded with the Russians. He never came up with that proof. And thanks to Robert Mueller’s performance at his congressional hearings that proof seems even more nonsensical than ever. Even Democrats believe the  Mueller testimony was a disaster, but Adam Schiff-head says Pres Trump was proven to be a crook.  But if he really believed Trump to be guilty he wouldn’t have taken the giant step away from Impeachment he took today.

On CNN’s “New Day,” he praised Mueller’s performance as powerful, but gave little weight to the possibility of Trump being impeached, saying the only way he’s leaving office, at this point, is “by being voted out.”

Well, I think for the first time, people got to hear from the man who did the investigation himself. His work was not filtered by Bill Barr who misrepresented it. It wasn’t filtered by the president who certainly misrepresents it on a daily basis.

Latest: The Searing of the American Conscience Over the Issue of Abortion

But this is guy who spent the last two years of his life, has served the country his entire life talking, about that work and laying out how unethical, unpatriotic, criminal these actions are to willingly accept help from a foreign government to obstruct justice. So I think hearing that from the man who did the work was powerful.

The only thing powerfull about Mueller’s testimony was the feeling of sadness people had. seeing the former special prosecutor look so feeble.

We do need to be realistic, and that is, the only way he’s leaving office, at least at this point, is by being voted out, and I think our efforts need to be made in every respect to make sure we turn out our people.  Should we put the country through an impeachment? I haven’t been convinced yet that we should. Going through that kind of momentous and disruptive experience for the country, I think, is not something we go into lightly.”

But making false claims about a president is something Schiff goes into lightly. And those claims will continue.  Adam Schiff talks about Trump’s actions putting this country in danger but he doesn’t really care about that. He cares about his party more than national security. That was proven when he became Barack Obama’s house-Jew and helped to lead the effort to sell America on the lousy Iran deal. The same could be said about his Chairman-partner-in-crime the Jerrold Nadler.

Their only purpose in pushing the false Russia/obstruction narrative has ALWAYS been about returning the Oval Office to Democratic Party hands. They never cared about the truth, nor did they care that the American people wanted Donald Trump to be their president.  Even his step back from impeachment has nothing to do with what he believes. He’s only backing away to protect 2020 Democratic Party votes, and to raise his standing among the party leadership. Schiff doesn’t really believe what he says, he has no conscience.

To paraphrase something Shiff said during the Mueller hearing.  We can — and must — decide that this centuries-old experiment we call America is worth cherishing. And the ONLY way to do that is to stop the Democrats’ effort to overturn the 2016 election and to make sure they lose again in 2020.
