Trump Admin to Divert $7 Billion From Pentagon to Build 900 More Miles of Border Wall

H/T Flag And Cross.

President Trump when he was running for office he promised to build a border wall now he is keeping his promise.

This is likely to tick a few people off…

President Trump made so many promises to the American people back when he was a candidate that even many Republicans thought he wouldn’t accomplish most of it. But he’s proving everyone wrong. He was the right man at the right time for the office. Period. Check out what’s going on with one of Trump’s biggest promises, via Daily Wire:

The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to divert more than $7 billion in funds from the Pentagon to build an additional nearly 900 miles of border wall along the southern border.

Internal planning figures obtained by The Washington Post allegedly showed that the administration is planning to divert $7.2 billion to construction of the border wall.

What is it with certain Americans who put people from other nations before Americans? Does that make any sense, whatsoever?

Shouldn’t these other countries work to improve their own situations so they don’t have to risk losing people day after day?

Shouldn’t liberal judges abide by the United States Constitution before going out on their own?

From Washington Examiner:

A federal judge has blocked President Trump from diverting Pentagon funds from various military projects toward building a wall on the United States’s southern border.

Judge David Briones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas issued the block in response to a lawsuit by El Paso County, Texas, and the Border Network for Human Rights.

Classic Joe Biden. The former vice president can’t seem to escape his gaffe-prone ways, yet continues to remain in the public eye.

When it comes down to it and Joe goes head-to-head with President Trump in the 2020 general election, Biden stands an excellent chance of being a thrice failed candidate for POTUS.

Check out this recently unearthed clip of Biden sounding eerily similar to Trump when it comes to Mexico – and it’s not from that long ago.

A review of rhetoric from Joe Biden’s record on immigration. It included boasting about needing a 700 mile fence to stop “tons…tons…tons” of drugs from “corrupt Mexico” in 2006. Jailing employers who hire “illegals” and not allowing sanctuary cities.

Check out what happens when college students find out these border wall quotes were made by the likes of Schumer, Hillary, and Obama after being told they were made by President Trump.

It’s priceless.

Pelosi to Send Impeachment Articles to Senate Next Week

H/T Town Hall.

I will be surprised if San Fran Nan sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

The last thing Pelosi wants to happen is President Trump being acquitted just before the election.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she will send the articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate next week so the upper chamber can begin its trial.

“I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to her caucus.

Nancy Pelosi just announced that after weeks of delay & obstructing Congress, she’ll send the articles of impeachment to the Senate. We will follow the same rules unanimously approved during the Clinton impeachment. If Schumer supported the rules then, he should support them now.

So much for @realDonaldTrump‘s impeachment being “urgent.”

BREAKING … PELOSI in DEAR COLLEAGUE: “I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate.”

166 people are talking about this

Patience among Senate Democrats was running thin over Pelosi’s approach of withholding the impeachment articles from the upper chamber, with Sen. Richard Blumenthal saying Wednesday that the articles should be sent and Sen. Dianne Feinstein questioning “what good delay does.”

According to one report, Pelosi’s strategy was inspired by former Nixon White House counsel John Dean.

Dean suggested the unorthodox plan during a December 5 appearance on [CNN], leading Pelosi to propose it to leading members of the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee during a private brainstorming session on December 17 — one night before the House’s vote to impeach the president. A Democratic aide who was present in the room told Time that Pelosi brought up the withholding strategy by saying, “Somebody said to me today that he may not even take up what we send. [But] then [Trump] will never be vindicated.”

“He will be impeached forever. Forever,” she added, per the aide. “No matter what the Senate does.”

On Tuesday, she urged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to disclose the resolution that will show the “arena in which we will be participating, appoint managers and transmit the articles to the Senate.”

Read the full letter below:

Dear Democratic Colleague,

For weeks now, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has been engaged in tactics of delay in presenting transparency, disregard for the American people’s interest for a fair trial and dismissal of the facts.

Yesterday, he showed his true colors and made his intentions to stonewall a fair trial even clearer by signing on to a resolution that would dismiss the charges. A dismissal is a cover-up and deprives the American people of the truth. Leader McConnell’s tactics are a clear indication of the fear that he and President Trump have regarding the facts of the President’s violations for which he was impeached.

The American people have clearly expressed their view that we should have a fair trial with witnesses and documents, with more than 70 percent of the public stating that the President should allow his top aides to testify. Clearly, Leader McConnell does not want to present witnesses and documents to Senators and the American people so they can make an independent judgment about the President’s actions.

Honoring our Constitution, the House passed two articles of impeachment against the President — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress — to hold the President accountable for asking a foreign government to interfere in the 2020 elections for his own political and personal gain.

While the House was able to obtain compelling evidence of impeachable conduct, which is enough for removal, new information has emerged, which includes:

-On December 20, new emails showed that 91 minutes after Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky, a top Office of Management and Budget (OMB) aide asked the Department of Defense to “hold off” on sending military aid to Ukraine.

-On December 29, revelations emerged about OMB Director and Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney’s role in the delay of aid, the effort by lawyers at the OMB, the Department of Justice and the White House to justify the delay, and the alarm that the delay caused within the Administration.

-On January 2, newly-unredacted Pentagon emails, which we had subpoenaed and the President had blocked, raised serious concerns by Trump Administration officials about the legality of the President’s hold on aid to Ukraine.

And on January 6, just this week, former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton announced he would comply with a subpoena compelling his testimony. His lawyers have stated he has new relevant information.

I am very proud of the courage and patriotism exhibited by our House Democratic Caucus as we support and defend the Constitution. I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate. I will be consulting with you at our Tuesday House Democratic Caucus meeting on how we proceed further.

In an impeachment trial, every Senator takes an oath to “do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws.” Every Senator now faces a choice: to be loyal to the President or the Constitution.

No one is above the law, not even the President.

Thank you for your leadership For The People.

Judge Throws Out Former Trump Campaign Chair, Paul Manafort’s Fraud Charges in New York

H/T Western Journal.

Now the state-level charges have been thrown out it opens the door so he can be pardoned by President Trump or at least his sentence could be commuted.

A judge on Wednesday threw out Paul Manafort’s New York mortgage fraud case on double jeopardy grounds.

Manafort, 70, was President Donald Trump’s campaign chairman in 2016.

He was later convicted in two federal cases stemming from his business dealings and is serving a 7½-year prison sentence.

Judge Maxwell Wiley ruled that state law precludes prosecution. Manafort wasn’t in court for Wiley’s ruling because of a health problem.

Manafort’s lawyers had argued that the state charges should have been dismissed because they involve some of the same allegations as federal cases that have landed Manafort behind bars.

In a hearing that lasted just a few minutes, Wiley said he agreed, announcing his ruling to prosecutors and Manafort’s lawyers.

He said a detailed explanation is provided in a written decision, a copy of which has yet to be provided to media.

Basically, the law of double jeopardy in New York state provides a very narrow window for prosecution,” the judge said.

Wiley noted that prosecutors can appeal decision and likely will.

Lawyer Todd Blanche raised the double jeopardy issue soon after Manafort was arrested, saying that the charges brought by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. violated a state law that bars repeat prosecutions for the same general conduct.

The factual overlap between the federal and state cases “is extensive — if not total,” Blanche wrote in court papers.

Manafort had a heart-related condition and was moved last week to a hospital from a federal prison in Pennsylvania, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press on Tuesday. They were not permitted to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

He’s already serving a federal prison sentence for misleading the U.S. government about lucrative foreign lobbying work, hiding millions of dollars from tax authorities and encouraging witnesses to lie on his behalf.

Vance announced the charges in March, just minutes after Manafort was sentenced in the second of the two federal cases, saying in a statement at the time: “No one is beyond the law in New York.”

The 16-count New York indictment was largely seen as a hedge against the possibility that Trump might pardon Manafort for his federal crimes.

The state charges alleged Manafort gave false and misleading information in applying for residential mortgage loans, starting in 2015 and continuing until three days before Trump’s inauguration in 2017.

He is also charged with falsifying business records and conspiracy.

Prosecutors had argued that the case was based on allegations that were never resolved in Manafort’s 2018 federal trial in Virginia.

Jurors found Manafort guilty of eight counts of tax- and bank-fraud charges but couldn’t reach a verdict on 10 other charges, resulting in a mistrial on those counts.

There was no immediate reaction to the dismissal from Vance’s office.

Pelosi Hands Trump A Win, Announces Plan To Pass NAFTA Replacement

H/T Flag And Cross.

I will believe it when it hits President Trump’s desk and gets signed into law.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took a few minutes away from the impeachment fever gripping the House of Representatives to announce that a breakthrough was made on Tuesday concerning negotiations for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade.

The House will vote on a trade deal put together by President Trump that he has been lobbying for Congress to pass for quite some time now.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner:

“It is infinitely better than what was originally proposed by the administration,” said Pelosi, a California Democrat.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal, a Massachusetts Democrat, said Democrats are entering the “final stages of text sharing” with other lawmakers “before there is any expedited period of bringing it to the floor.” Neal did not indicate specifically when the House would vote on the deal.

The House is set to adjourn for the year on Dec. 20 and lawmakers typically want ample time to review trade deals.

Democrats said the accord came after provisions were added addressing labor law enforcement, environmental standards, and prescription drugs, satisfying their members.

Neal, the lead Congressional negotiator, stated, “This is a transformative agreement. Our constant emphasis was on enforceability, enforceability, and enforceability, we fixed that.”

Democrats went on to say they won the removal of several provisions that would have led to an increase in drug prices.

This trade deal is set to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement that was passed back in 1993. This is a major win for the president who has said for years the old agreement was a bad deal for the United States.

The new version of the agreement says that 75 percent of a car’s parts must be manufactured in North America to be duty-free, up from the previous 62.5 percent. The deal also says that 40 to 45 percent of a vehicle’s component parts must be made by factory workers making at least $16 an hour.

Marianne Williamson Falls for Hoax Saying Trump Pardoned Charles Manson

H/T The Washington Free Beacon.

The DemocRat hatred of President Trump is so deep they will believe anything said about him even if it is a hoax.

Like President Trump giving a posthumous pardon to Charles Manson.

Manson was convicted in state court therefore he was not able to be pardoned by President Trump.

A satirical article on originated the story.

Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson deleted a tweet in which she fell for a hoax about President Donald Trump pardoning murderer Charles Manson.

“There is something deeply sinister about Trump pardoning Charles Manson, even posthumously,” the spiritual guru wrote in a late-night Sunday tweet. “Dog whistles of the very worst possible kind.”

Needless to say, Trump did not pardon Manson, the cult leader who was found guilty of seven murders in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Even if Trump were so inclined, Manson was convicted in a California state court, and the president can only pardon federal crimes.

Williamson did not provide a source for her claim, but she may have been taken in by a November satire article on the website Urban-legend debunker Snopes reports that the piece later picked up traction when it was reposted as a blog on the liberal Daily Kos without a satire tag.

“I erroneously tweeted that President Trump had posthumously pardoned Charles Manson,” Williamson followed up in a second tweet after other Twitter users pointed out her error. “Glad to have been wrong.”

Both Williamson’s initial tweet and her acknowledgment of error were later deleted. The snafu occurred only hours after the candidate boasted on Twitter that “all the Democratic candidates are telling the truth.”

Marianne Williamson

All the Democratic candidates are telling the truth. But this moment is like when you take an oath in a court of law: it’s to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Only seriously radical truth-telling is going to be deep enough to defeat big lies next year.

Newsweek Jumps the Gun on What Trump Was Doing For Thanksgiving — Gets Egg on Its Face

H/T Town Hall.

President Trump played the drive-by media like a violin.

The drive-by media blasts President Trump for playing golf but he is in Afghanistan serving Thanksgiving dinner to the troops.

Newsweek ran a story asserting the commander-in-chief was spending the Thanksgiving holiday “tweeting, golfing and more” before it was revealed President Trump made an unannounced visit to U.S. military members in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving.

In a since corrected story, Newsweek’s headline now reads, “HOW DID TRUMP SPEND THANKSGIVING? TWEETING, GOLFING—AND SURPRISING U.S. TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN” and has the following editor’s note: “This story has been substantially updated and edited at 6:17 pm EST to reflect the president’s surprise trip to Afghanistan.”

The author of the article deleted her tweet and sent a correction, saying “it was written before knowing about the president’s surprise visit to Afghanistan-an honest mistake.”

Senators Urge Trump To Resume Talks On Background Check Bill

H/T Bearing Arms.

I do not blame President Trump for not talking to these DemocRats and DemocRat light Pat Toomey(RINO-PA).

Senators Chris Murphy, Joe Manchin, and Pat Toomey are desperately hoping to keep the dreams of gun control alive in Congress and are announcing they’re ready to work with President Trump on universal background checks in an op/ed at USA Today. In fact, not only are the anti-gun politicians pushing for a renewed effort on gun control, the senators claim that they “nearly had a deal” with Trump before the Democrats’ push for impeachment derailed negotiations, and now they want him to return to the table for more negotiations.

For the time being, negotiations with the White House on background checks have come to a halt. But we think it’s important to note how far this debate moved over the summer and fall, and how close we were to a bipartisan agreement.

We are ready at a moment’s notice to restart these deliberations, because we remain confident that with the president’s support, a measure to expand background checks to include all commercial gun sales could become law. This measure, once implemented, would undoubtedly make our nation safer and show Americans that even during this heated political moment, Republicans and Democrats can still come together to pass landmark legislation that will save lives.

The three stooges for gun control are offering a slight tweak to the universal background check bill passed by the House earlier this year, by calling for background checks on “all commercial sales,” even though the law already states that every firearm sold by a licensed firearms dealer must go through a background check. What these senators really want is a law requiring background checks on private sales of firearms, which amounts to a universal background check law, no matter how much they might protest otherwise.

Even as the senators claim that a federal background check bill will make people safer, they ignore the evidence showing that requiring background checks on all transfers of firearms doesn’t even lead to an increase in background checks, but violent crime can and has increased after universal background checks become the law of the land. The senators can’t or won’t acknowledge the failures of universal background check laws. Instead they offer empty promises of safety by requiring that every transfer of a firearm go through a background check, even though there’s no way to even attempt to enforce the law without a national gun registry as well.

Besides the inadequacies of the proposal by these three senators, there’s absolutely no reason for Trump to work with them to push a gun control bill he’s repeatedly said he would veto. Politically speaking, it would do nothing to help him with his base, and in fact would cause a large number of gun owners to back away from their previous support just as we head into an election year.

If universal background checks don’t reduce violent crime or lead to more background checks, and but would damage the president’s support among gun owners, there’s not much of an argument in favor of what Manchin, Toomey, and Murphy are calling for, short of being able to say “We did something.” Maybe that’s enough for politicians fixated on focus groups and public polling on things like background checks, but for those who actually care about smart, effective, and constitutionally sound policies to address violent crime and the root causes, the adminstration’s new Project Guardian initiative will do far more to improve public safety than the worthless background check bill that Manchin and his cohorts are calling for.
